Maine readies for offshore wind powerAugusta, Maine (UPI) Dec 18, 2009 Maine has selected three Atlantic Ocean sites for prototype wind turbines. Gov. John Baldacci and researchers estimate that the state's offshore energy potential is equivalent to 100 nuclear plants.
