World's largest offshore wind farm opens in Denmark

The world's largest offshore wind farm has been opened in the North Sea off the west coast of Denmark, the Danish company running the project said on Thursday. The Horns Rev 2 wind farm's 91 turbines covers an area of some 35 square kilometres (21 square miles) and can produce enough electricity to supply 200,000 homes a year, Dong Energy said in a statement.
